How to learn to use such a script tool
« Thread Started on Aug 15, 2009, 5:47am »

Hallo!
I am not an IT person and it is a very long time since I had anything to do with programming. I have downloaded the free version and if it works I will buy the full version.
What I want as a first step is to open a text file read an English sentence from the file, then open a simple dictionary and find the parts-of-speech for each word in the sentence and write them in brackets following the sentence words.
Is the product capable of doing such?
Is the product written to be used by non-programmers?
Has anyone done something similar?
Is there a source of available scripts which can be downloaded?
I would be grateful for any help.
Regards, forkinpm.

Greetings forkinpm,

What programming/scripting language are you speaking of?

Some data you may find helpful from the IDP (Internet Dictionary Project)...

English-German dictionary (contains 'Approximately 9733 entries'):
